The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been in the news lately on a regular basis. The storm has been gathering all these while awaiting a release date and now that the device has got an August 2 launch date, more details about the device have continued to surface online in torrents.
The latest leak surrounding the device are those of some images attributed to be those of the Galaxy Note 7 prototype. The image were perhaps those of the test units as what could pass for a test unit number was spotted crested at the top corner of the Galaxy Note series device. A huge phablet device with curved display and sporting Samsung’s custom home key button, could best describe the device on the photos.
Other leaked images from the same source also surfaced, revealing a booted Galaxy Note 7, displaying Samsung TouchWiz UI with the low battery warning notification popping up. The brightly illuminated display also shows quite a number of openings on both sides of the ear piece slits.
While it is known traditionally that the front facing camera owns the modules to the left of the ear piece slit, the ones on the right doesn’t have a definitive owner going by past Galaxy Note. It is believed, however that the two openings or modules to the right of the ear piece belongs to the Iris scanner which the Galaxy Note 7 is said to pack.
The Galaxy Note 7 will launch on August 2 sporting a 5.8-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, powered by either a Snapdragon 821 or Exynos chipset (depends on the destination of the device), an improved S Pen stylus and packing the same dual pixel camera on the Galaxy S7 Edge. The device which would be available in 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM versions will likely start at a steep $800 USD price.
