ZTE yesterday made official the Zmax Pro in a special event. The ZTE Zmax Pro is the third device in the Zmax series with the Zmax and last year’s Zmax 2 already in the kitty. The Zmax Pro will be sold in the US by MetroPCS, where it will compete with the Galaxy J7 and LG Stylos 2. But according to ZTE, the Zmax Pro “is simply the one to beat” because it matches or outclasses both in specs while being a lot cheaper than either of those.
On the specs profile, the Zmax Pro sports a 6-inch 1080pixel touchscreen display and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 617 processor with Adreno 405 GPU. The device packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage which is expandable. Also, the ZTE Zmax Pro features a USB Type-C port and a fingerprint scanner at the rear.
Also, ZTE ZMax Pro runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, and in addition to the USB Type-C port it also features a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone crams a 3,400mAh battery under its hood.
On the camera terrain, the Zmax Pro sports an impressive 13MP rear facing camera with phase detection auto focus and LED flash as well as a 5MP camera up front for selfie snapshots. The phone supports 4G LTE and a host of other connectivity options.
With these mid-range specs just reeled out, the ZTE Zmax Pro carries a ridiculously cheap price tag of $99. Amazing, isn’t it? The device will become available from August 1 at MetroPCS in the US. Those who pre-order the device before July 31 will even get an additional leather case for the phone free of charge. ZTE has just set a record with this one and they are boasting rightfully about it all over town that the Zmax Pro is the highest-specked smartphone for less than $100.
