As expected, Meizu has finally launched the flagship Meizu MX6 in China today in an official event. The device was previously spotted at GeekBench and AnTuTu leaking its specifications. Meizu MX6 comes with a a 5.5-inch sharp TDDI LCD display with narrow bezels. It is priced at 1999 yuan (around $298) and the pre-orders have started online on Meizu store. The company has also launched the Loop Jacket protective case for the MX6 priced at CNY 79(around $12).
The device sales will start July 30th. The company hasn’t revealed any global availability and pricing details of the device. The Meizu MX6 comes with a 5.5-inch LCD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 85% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by the 64-bit 2.3GHz GHz MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor with ARM Mali-T880 GPU and has 4GB of RAM with 32GB internal storage capacity.
It runs on the Flyme OS 5.2 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Dual SIM support. It features a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED Flash, Sony IMX386 sensor, 6P lenses, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, 4K video recording and a 5-megapixel secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture. It is backed up by a 3060mAh battery with fast charging enabled with the help of which users can charge the device up to 65 percent in just 30 minutes of charging.
It also has a fingerprint scanner on the physical home button that can unlock the device in just 0.2 seconds and is useful for biometric payments via Alipay. Meizu MX6 also comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS and USB Type-C connectivity options. It measures 153.6x 75.2x 7.25mm and weights 155g. Color options includes Gray, Silver, Gold and Pink.
