Blackberry is going to launch its new Android powered soon this year as the company has announced in the past. The devices that are expected to launch includes Blackberry Rome and Blackberry Hamburg that were also leaked in some leaked images few months back. Now, Here comes the good news, one of the upcoming Blackberry devices has got the FCC approval in the United States and we can now expect an imminent launch of this device. The device is Blackberry Hamburg that has got the FCC approval and we may also see the approval of Blackberry Rome by FCC soon.
The Blackberry device that has got the FCC approval comes with the model number STH100-2 (RJD211LW) and as usual it will be launched with some other name. The Blackberry Hamburg FCC approval documents doesn’t comes with all the specifications of the device but have some of them. The documents confirms that it will be manufactured by TCL Communication Ltd that is a China based company. The device comes with support of multiple frequency bands of 4G LTE, 3G and 2G networks and supports WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth v4.2 LE and Micro-USB.
The FCC documents also confirmed that it will have a 2610mAh battery. No other details about the device were available in the FCC documents but as the device was already spotted at GFXBench we have some some of the other specifications details as well. It was spotted with Snapdragon 615 and 3GB of RAM and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. This device will not be having any physical keyboard as per rumors but the Blackberry Rome will have.
The Blackberry Hamburg was spotted on GFXBench with a 5.2-inch full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and is powered by the octa-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (Cortex A53 – ARMv8) processor with Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage capacity. It runs on the Android 6.0.1 marshmallow OS out of the box.
It features a 12-megapixel rear LED flash camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. It comes with other features and connectivity options like Bluetooth, GPS, USB etc. No other features of the device were leaked by the GFXBench listing So we have to wait for more leaks of this device in the future. It will be a mid-range device and will carry a price tag of around $400.
