The Lenovo ZUK Z2 smartphone which was released in June has got a new Rio 2016 Olympic games edition, which has been listed on the website of some online malls in China for pre-orders. The Lenovo ZUK Z2 Rio 2016 edition adopts some slight modification from the parent ZUK Z2, especially in the memory aspect, sporting just 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage as against the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage on the ZUK Z2. There is no physical logo of the Olympics on the device, perhaps because Samsung is the sole official mobile partner for the Rio 2016 Olympics but you get Wallpapers and Rio 2016 themes pre-installed on the device.
Apart from the memory difference, the ZUK Z2 Rio 2016 edition bears striking similarity with original ZUK Z2. It comes powered by a 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, sporting a 5-inch 1080p display. The device equally crams a 13MP rear camera unit with LED flash as well as an 8MP front facing camera. Under its hood, is a 3500mAh battery which comes with support for fast charge.
On the software zone, the device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based ZUI 2.0. There’s also a fingerprint scanner on the dual-SIM device and the device equally offers a host of connectivity options likeWi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot, bluetooth, GLONASS etc.
