Android 7.0 Nougat could launch in August, no Nougat for Nexus 5, Nexus 6P user accidentally receives Nougat update

This month August will be the month with number of new launches in flagship series that includes Galaxy Note 7 launching tomorrow and the Huawei Honor Note 8 that is launching today. Not only these, Google may be gearing up to launch its new Android 7 mobile OS this month along with their new flagship Nexus devices. Reliable leakster, @Evleaks, has just confirmed that Android 7.0 Nougat might be launched this month that means the new Nexus flagship lineup may also be unveiled this month as well.

Meanwhile, a user on Reddit reported that he got the Android 7.0 Nougat update accidentally on his Nexus 6P device. He also posted some images from the device and the update comes with 49.5 MB size and he was the only one to receive it.

The Android 7.0 Nougat update window also warns not to discuss this update with anyone externally. The update window also shows that new Android 7.0 Nougat comes with new Emoji, long lasting battery and the Multi-window feature helps users to multitask easily. He also posted the screenshot from the device after he installed the OTA update on his device. The device was installed with latest 5 August patch. This confirms that evleaks prediction may be true and the Nexus 6P and 5X users will receive it first this month.

To recall, Google is working on two Nexus devices and HTC may be manufacturing these two, but a new device from Huawei was spotted on FCC carrying the model numbers H1622 and H710VL and may be the Nexus 6P successor. The Nexus Sailfish rumored specs includes a 5-inch full HD display with 1920x 1080 pixel resolution and will be powered by an unknown Quad-core 2.0GHz CPU. It will have 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Other specifications includes the upcoming Android N OS out of the box. It will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. It will feature a rear mounted fingerprint scanner and there will be bottom firing speakers. It will have a 2,770mAh battery and Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C port etc connectivity options. There will be a top mounted headphone jack as well.
