LG has today officially announced that it will launch the successor to the LG V10 called the LG V20 next month in September. The official blog post also confirms that the new LG V0 will be launched with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and will be the first LG device to run this latest Android OS. The company, however, hasn’t revealed any other details related to the device in the post.
The V10 smartphone from the company was the first smartphone in the “V” series that featured Dual front facing cameras and was also having the dual display. The V10 was having built-in Hi-Fi 32-bit DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) audio enhancement function for best multimedia experience and the company has confirmed that its successor will be having more multimedia features than the V10.
LG has launched number of smartphone in partnership with Google that includes Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 5X and both the companies has signed a ‘global patent cross-license agreement (Cross-licensing Agreement)’ till 2023 that will help in strengthening existing partnership between the two companies.
LG Electronics CEO MC Business Division president Jojunho commented, “The V20 will be the first smartphone running the latest Android Nougat OS among the newly released smart phones. V20 is expected to set new standards in the premium phone market with more expanded multimedia capabilities.”
