Samsung has now officially confirmed the 6GB RAM variant of the Galaxy Note7 smartphone. Recently, the 6GB RAM and 128 GB inbuilt storage variant was spotted at TENAA and there were rumors that this variant will only be available in China and may not be launched outside China. The confirmation has came from the Samsung Mobile President Koh Dong-jin who has confirmed it in a conference in Seoul when he was asked about this rumored Galaxy Note7 device with upgraded 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
“It is true that we are reviewing the rollout of a new tablet with 128 gigabyte built-in memory in China because Chinese companies are aggressively doing marketing with high-capacity memory, we will accept diverse opinions from various regions and also consider whether that move will disappoint Korean consumers,” he added.
The Galaxy Note7 pre-orders have already set a record in South Korea but the Korean giant is already facing issues with the shipping of the devices and the company has already postponed the launch in Malaysia. The launch of the Galaxy Note7 have been pushed back from September 2 to the September 9 in Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg. The 6GB RAM + 128 GB inbuilt storage variant is expected to be priced at 6088 yuan (around $914) In China, while the Galaxy Note 7 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage is priced at 5,688 yuan (around $854).
The Samsung Galaxy Note7 was announced with a 3D glass and metal unibody design with IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance, a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED curved dual edge display, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, Octa-Core Exynos 8890 (2.3GHz Quad + 1.6GHz Quad), 64 bit, 14 nm processor / Snapdragon 820 chipset (region based), 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage capacity, up to 256GB with microSD card expandable storage, Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow), Hybrid Dual SIM, a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3500mAh battery, 4G LTE and S Pen stylus.
