Ahead of the official launch of the Tizen OS running Samsung Z2, an official video render of the device has been released by Samsung. The Tizen-powered smartphone is rumored to launch in India, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya and a host of other countries this August.
The official video reveals some of the features the phone is expected to have when it is launched. The video confirmed speculations that the device will be powered by a 1.5GHz processor, the model is still a mystery though.The video also reveals that the Samsung Z2 will come with 4G LTE, making it the first Tizen OS phone to have 4G support. The device also features the Ultra Data Saving Mode (UDSM) developed by Samsung.
The video also teased the Z2 as having a 5MP rear camera just as rumored and a auto selfie camera with several beauty modes for tweaking the pictures. The device also comes pre-loaded with a few apps such as Whatsapp, Facebook app and an app called “My Money Transfer” which would be exclusive to India.
Earlier rumors had suggested a 4-inch display, VGA front camera, 1GB RAM + 8GB internal memory configuration, and that the device will be priced around Rs. 4,499 in India (about $68).
