Samsung has just announced that it will announce a new Gear smartwatch at IFA event on August 31st at Tempodrom, Berlin, Germany. It is likely that Samsung will launch the Samsung Gear S3 at the official event that will be the successor to the Gear S2 launched in the last year’s IFA. Samsung has started sending the invites for the event on their social media and official website channels. The Gear s3 invite comes with a dial of a watch and a caption “Talk About 3” confirming the launch of 3rd generation of Gear S smartwatch.
The Korean giant is rumored to launch three smartwatches this year that are called as Gear S3 Classic, Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Explorer. These smartwatches are likely to launch with round dialer just like the predecessors and rotary bezel. These smartwatches are also expected to launch with additional features like GPS, speedometer, barometer and altimeter. The users can also change the bands of the watches. Other features of these watches are still a mystery.

There will be no announcement of smartphones in these events as the company has already launched their flagship devices in the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series in the past.
