Huawei Honor 8 announced for US priced at $399.99

Huawei has finally launched its flagship device Honor 8 in the United States where it will be available for $399.99. The device will be available for sale on HiHonor at 11:00 am CST on August 26th and the registrations for the sale has already started on the hihonor website.

The device will also be available for sale on some other US retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, Newegg and many others at the same price. Pre-ordering this device will get you a $50 gift card from all the retailers and at HiHonor US you can get a $50 off.

The Honor 8 was launched in July this year in China and the US model number for Honor 8 is FRD – AL00. It will be available with Sapphire Blue, Pearl White, and Midnight Black color options. It comes with features such as a 5.2-inch full HD 2.5D curved glass display with 96% NTSC color gamut and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by the octa-core Kirin 950 (2.3GHz 4 x A72 + 1.8GHz 4 x A53) 16nm processor with Mali T880-MP4 GPU.

It will be available with 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB inbuilt storage options whereas it was also available with 3GB RAM option in China. It also comes with microSD card expandable storage up to 128GB. It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box with EMUI 4.1 on top. It features a 12-megapixel dual rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, Laser AF, f/2.2 aperture, 6P lens and 1.4um pixel size.

It also comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. It is backed up by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging enabled. Connectivity options includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C. It measures 145.5 x 71 x 7.45 mm and weights 153g. The Honor 8 also comes with a metal frame with glass back and features a fingerprint scanner on the rear side. It also comes with a Infrared sensor.
