Google Nexus Marlin hits AnTuTu with Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM and QHD display

Recently, HTC made two new Nexus devices were spotted at FCC getting approval from the US authority. The two Nexus device that will be launched this year are code named Nexus Marlin and Nexus Sailfish, both have been leaked a number of times online with the listings on benchmark websites like GFXBench and Geekbench. The Nexus Sailfish was already spotted listed at AnTuTu few days back and now its bigger brother Nexus Marlin has also made its appearance on AnTuTu listing its key specifications.

The Nexus Marlin is listed on AnTuTu with features such as a qHD display having a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and it will be a 5.5-inch size display as per the rumors. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage capacity. It runs on the upcoming Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It features a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. The AnTuTu weibo post also confirms a 3450mAh battery for this device.

AndroidPolice previously revealed that the Nexus Marlin could have a 5.5-inch qHD AMOLED display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution and will be powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that might be the 820 or 821. It will have 4GB of RAM and 32GB /128GB inbuilt storage options.  There will not be any 64GB inbuilt storage option according to the leak.

It will run on the Android (7.0) Nougat OS out of the box. It will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. It gets powered by a 3450mAh battery and connectivity options includes Bluetooth 4.2 and USB-C port. It will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and bottom-firing speakers.

The Nexus Marlin was also spotted at GeekBench with specs like 4GB of RAM and 1.59 GHz quad-core processor that might be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or 821 processor. It will run on Android (7.0) Nougat OS out of the box. It has scored 2084 points in single-core test and 4969 points in multi-core test on geekbench. No further details were listed on Geekbench.

As the 2016 Google Nexus devices Nexus Marlin and Nexus Sailfish has received the FCC certification we can expect the launch of both these devices soon. Stay tuned for further updates and other leaks.
