Earlier this month, Samsung was spotted with a 6GB RAM variant of the Galaxy Note7 which was approved by TENAA in China and soon after the same was confirmed by the company president as well. Now, looks like the wait is over as the Korean giant is going to launch the 6GB RAM variant of the Galaxy Note7 on 26th August if a teaser posted by the company on weibo is true. This teaser doesn’t have anything about the 6GB RAM or 128GB storage option, but as the 4GB RAM Galaxy Note7 is already up for pre-orders in the country, we can expect the 6GB RAM variant to launch in this event.
The things about the 128GB variant that are confirmed currently includes 6GB RAM, 128GB inbuilt storage capacity and all other features the Galaxy Note7 was launched with. But we don’t know the price of this variant if it will be more than that of the 4GB variant or same. Another thing that is still not confirmed is its global availability. Some rumors claimed that the 6GB RAM variant will be China only and will not be available outside China. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 820 SoC and it will have Hybrid Dual-SIM option.
To recall, the Samsung Galaxy Note7 was launched with a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED curved dual edge display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, octa-core Exynos 8890 (2.3GHz Quad + 1.6GHz Quad), 64 bit processor / Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage capacity, expandable up to 256GB with microSD card, Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow), Hybrid Dual SIM, a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3500mAh battery and 4G LTE Cat.12 support.
