Samsung has so far released two smartphones in the Galaxy “C” series line of smartphone which is exclusive to China and we are getting news that the tech giant is working on a third. The device is said to adopt the name Samsung Galaxy C9 with model number (SM-C9000). The Samsung Galaxy C9 (SM-C9000) is also said to go by the codename “Amy”.
The rumor is coming quite as a surprise considering that Samsung released the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 in May this year and both smartphones only went on sale in June.
The Samsung Galaxy C5 sported a 5.2-ich Full HD super AMOLED display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 617 chipset backed by 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space on-board. The Galaxy C5 also features 4G LTE connectivity and a fingerprint sensor.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy C7 launched with a higher 5.7-inch display, powered by an equally higher Snapdragon 625 processor. The Galaxy C7 packs the same RAM size as the C5 but comes with two variants with 32GB and 64GB of internal memory respectively.
The rumored Galaxy C9 (SM-C9000) is expected to have similar specs or even slightly higher ones than those of the C5 and C7. The smartphone could even feature a large 6-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display just like the Galaxy A9 which is also exclusive to China.
As to when Samsung will announce the Galaxy C9, that is not yet known and we also don’t know if the tech giant will release the smartphone outside China as both the Galaxy C5 and C7 are yet to hit markets outside of China. We will keep you posted on Timesnews whenever fresh details surface.
