Will Samsung launch Samsung Z2 on 23rd August in India ?

Samsung was spotted working on the new Tizen smartphone called Samsung Z2 whose renders and a video was leaked online which was said to be the official video of the device. Now, Samsung India has announced an official event in India on August 23rd that says “Samsung’s next meaningful innovation is here” but there is no mention about the Samsung Z2 in this invite. But, the next line the event reads “Samsung India cordially invites you for the unveiling of its next smartphone” that hints towards the launch of a new smartphone for Indian Market and clearly it will be the Samsung Z2.

Samsung Z2 comes with the model number SM-Z200F and it will run the Tizen OS out of the box. According to the rumors, this new Tizen powered device will be priced under $100 for Indian market. This device will also be available for sale in other countries including Indonesia, Nigeria, Bangladesh, South Africa, Kenya and some other countries as well. This device will have some exclusive apps like Whatsapp, Facebook and My Money Transfer app which would be exclusive to India.

According to the rumors and leaks, the Samsung Z2 will feature a 4-inch AMOLED display and will be powered by a 1.5GHz processor which is still unknown at the moment. It will have 1GB of RAM and will support Dual SIMs. It will feature a 5-megapixel rear camera and a auto selfie camera with several beauty modes. It will have 8GB inbuilt storage capacity according to the rumors. It will support 4G VoLTE connectivity and the S Bike Mode that was previously available with some other Samsung devices.
