ZTE’s expected Axon 7 Mini whose specs were leaked sometime last month has gone official and is now up for sale in Germany. ZTE did not roll out the drums to announce the smartphone publicly but instead chose a quiet release. The ZTE Axon 7 Mini is a minimized version of the Axon 7 flagship smartphone that went up on sale in June.
The ZTE Axon 7 Mini isn’t coming as a surprise because the specs of the device has already been leaked sometime in July but what is surprising is that the device was silently released into the market, available presently only in Germany, perhaps in time for the IFA Berlin 2016.
In terms of the specs, the Axon 7 Mini rocks an all metal body without bezels on the sides, just similar to that of the 5.5-inch Axon 7. However, the Axon 7 Mini features a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1080pixels and 2.5D glass. There is also the trademark sleek speaker grills at the bottom edge of the smartphone.
The ZTE Axon 7 Mini is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 617 processor, supplemented by a 3GB RAM and 32GB of built-in storage space which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The Axon 7 Mini also sports a 13-megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front facing selfie camera sensor. In addition, the Axon 7 Mini boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box and also has a fingerprint sensor at the back.
Talking about the price, the ZTE Axon 7 Mini which is available in gold and silver color variants, is priced at 299 Euros ($330) and is already available in Germany.
