HTC One A9s, that was leaked a couple of days before the IFA event, has been launched by the company in the United Kingdom. The device was rumored to launch on September 1st and the company launched the device on the same day. No pricing details of the device were revealed by the company but the device is expected to launch next month in the UK first. This phones doesn’t have any upgraded features from the One A9 but comes with downgraded features from the One A9.
The HTC One A9s comes with a 5-inch HD Super LCD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, Pixel density at 294 ppi (pixel per inch) and Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a 64 bit octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor and comes with two variants with one having 2GB of RAM with 16GB inbuilt storage and the other with 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. It also supports expandable storage with microSD card up to 2TB.
It runs on the Android Marshmallow OS out of the box with HTC Sense UI. It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with Face detection, Auto-focus, BSI sensor, ƒ/2.2 aperture, LED flash, Full HD 1080p video recording and a 5-megapixel front facing camera with fixed-focus, Full HD 1080p video recording, BSI sensor and ƒ/2.8 aperture. The front camera also comes with Auto selfie, Voice Selfie modes with Live make-up feature.
It is backed up by a 2300 mAh battery with power saver mode, extreme power saving mode and fast charging (5V/1.5A). The battery can deliver talk time of up to 13.11 hours and standby time of up to 432 hours on 3G network. It also comes with HTC BoomSound and dual microphones with noise cancellation. It measures 146.49 x 71.5. x 7.99 mm and weights 149.8 grams. A fingerprint scanner is also available on the physical home button on front panel.
