Just a day after the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) was sighted at GFXBench, another next generation Samsung Galaxy series smartphone has been spotted on the same benchmark website, GFXBench. This time around, the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) with model number SM-A320X has been listed, with a few of its specifications detailed.
The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017), on release, will take over from the Galaxy A3 (2016) which hit the market December last year. The GFXBench listing gave the Galaxy A3 (2017) as sporting the traditional 4.7-inch display, retaining the same resolution of 1280 x 720 as the A3 (2016). A 1.5GHz Octa-core chip forms the heart of the device, alongside Mali-T830 GPU, supplemented by 2GB of RAM. The device also packs a miniscule 8GB of built-in storage which thankfully is expandable.
On the camera end, the GFXBench listing gave the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2013) as packing a 12-megapixel rear facing camera with autofocus, face detection and LED flash among other features, and a 7-megapixel front facing camera. Finally, the device will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, of course with Samsung’s customisation on it. Although some of the GFXBench data may be incorrect, it is still obvious that the 2017 edition of the A3 and its 2016 version sport similar specs. As is customary with the tech giant, the Galaxy A3 (2017) and the A7 (2017) may likely be released towards the end of this year.
Just to refresh your memory, the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) comes with a 4.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 1280×720 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz Quad Core processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage with Micro SD slot expandable storage up to 128GB. It features a 13MP rear and a 5MP front facing camera, comes with a moderate 2,300mAh battery and measures 134.5 x 65.2 x 7.3mm with weight 132g. Connectivity includes LTE Cat.4, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth® v 4.1, ANT+, USB 2.0 and NFC (UICC).
