Apart form the Mi Note 2, Xiaomi is expected to release the Mi 5s flagship soon. The Xiaomi Mi 5s had featured in leaks in the past but nothing has come out to officially comfirm its existence. All that have changed right now as an AnTuTu benchmark data has leaked, confirming the Mi 5s and gifting us some of the specs of the Xiaomi flagship device. The Benchmark data appeared on AnTuTu’s Weibo page recently and also reveals the Mi 5s pulling a score of about 150K points.
According to the listing, the Mi 5S will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system whenever it launches. The stand out feature on the leaked specs sheet should be the fact that the Mi 5S would be powered the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, tagging along Adreno 530 GPU. The display resolution is revealed as 1920 x 1080 pixels, even though the display size wasn’t given.
We got nothing also about the memory, both RAM, and ROM, from the AnTuTu data but earlier leaks had disclosed that the Mi 5s will have 6GB of RAM and a whopping 256GB of internal storage. It is very likely, though, that there will be more than one memory versions on the smartphone. The Mi 5s is also rumored to feature NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, Dual Nano-SIM slots, GLONASS and the USB Type-C port. The device will also pack a 3,490mAh battery along with Quick Charge 3.0. No data about the camera as well, but earlier leaks had given the Mi5s rear camera as having a 16MP sensor with PDAF and 4-axis OIS which can also shoot 4K videos at 30 fps..
As to when Xiaomi will launch the Mi 5s, we still don’t have information on that but it is very likely the device will drop soon. Until then, we wouldn’t know what price tag it would carry.
