Oppo released a number of new smartphones this year including the Oppo F1 series phones and other as well. The Oppo A59 was launched in June this year that was having good specifications with a MediaTek processor and now, a new variant of the device has got the TENAA approval in China with upgraded features and a selfie focused front facing camera. The device comes with similar design like the Oppo A59 and a full metal unibody design. A fingerprint scanner is also available on the home button on front just like the Oppo A59.
The TENAA listing for the Oppo A59s comes with a 5.5-inch HD IPS 2.5D curved display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor and it might be the same MediaTek MT6750 64-bit processor with Mali T860 GPU used in the Oppo A59. It has 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB with microSD card. It runs on the Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS unfortunately.
It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture and a 16-megapixel front facing selfie camera. It has a 2980mAh battery and connectivity options available will be 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n. It measures 154.5 x 76 x 7.38mm and weights 160 grams. Color options includes Gold and Rose gold.
