Motorola released the Moto G4 Play today in the United States where it is priced at $149.99 and was already up for pre-orders on the official Motorola website. Other carriers has also started taking orders and interestingly, Verizon wireless is selling the Moto G4 Play at just $84.99 with prepaid. Isn’t it exciting as the official Motorola store lists it for the same $149.99. It might be a limited period offer, so grab it before it goes to the old price again.
Motorola also launched the Moto G4 Play in India on September 7th where its available at Rs. 8999 (around $135) which looks costlier from the official US price. The device comes with excellent mid-range specs with 2gigs of RAM, a good battery and stunning look. Unfortunately, no fingerprint scanner is available on the Moto G4 Play.
As for the specs, we already know that the G4 Play comes with a 5-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by a 1.2 GHz 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor with Adreno 306 GPU. It has 2GB of RAM with 16GB internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB with microSD card and it runs on the Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box. It also supports Dual SIM option.
A 8-megapixel rear camera is available with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 1080p video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. It comes with a good 2800mAh battery with quick charge feature and comes with the 10W rapid charger that promises 5 hours usage with just 15 minutes of charge. Connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, 3G, 2G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio are available. It measures 144.4x72x8.95 mm and weights 137 grams.
