Samsung has finally launched the 2016 variant of the Galaxy On7 smartphone called the Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) in China today. It comes with model number SM-G6100 and is listed on official Samsung China website with all specifications and images of the the device.
It is priced at 1599 yuan (around $240) and is available for sale in China already in Gold, Pink Gold and Black color options. No details available about its global release. There is also no information available about the Galaxy On5 2016 release date.
The Samsung Galaxy On7 2016 comes with a full metal unibody design and features a 5.5-inch full-HD TFT display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution and is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage that is expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slot. It runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box and comes with Hybrid Dual-SIM support.
It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, auto focus, f/1.9 aperture and an 8-megapixel front facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. It is backed up by a 3300mAh battery with fast charging feature and connectivity options includes 4G LTE, ANT +, 3.5mm stereo, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS, Glonass, Beidou. It measures 151.7 x 75 x 8mm and weights 167 grams. It has a fingerprint scanner available on the physical home button on front panel.
