The next Blackberry Android powered smartphone DTEK60 was leaked a few days back when someone spotted the listing of the device on the official Blackberry website. The Blackberry DTEK60 has already got the FCC approval in the US. As we already know that the Blackberry DTEK60 will be made by TCL Communications Ltd., we can expect that the TCL 950, that was launched today, will be launched as Blackberry DTEK60 next month. Some press renders from the DTEK60 have also been leaked online that we will discuss next in this article.
The press renders shared by Roland Quandt on Twitter shows the device from all the angles. The rear panel comes with the fingerprint scanner and the blackberry logo, on one side we have the power button and the USB port is available on the bottom. On front, we have the 5.5-inch qHD display with front camera on the top. Roland also confirmed that the Blackberry DTEK60 will go on sale starting October 11 in Canada priced at CAD 699 (around $529).
The Blackberry DTEK60 was spotted on the official Blackberry website with features such as 5.5-inch quad-HD display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution. It will be powered by the 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It will have 4GB of RAM with 32GB internal storage and expandable storage up to 2TB with microSD card. It runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box.
It will feature a 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, 4K Video recording and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, f/2.2 aperture, 1.125um pixel size and 84-degree wide-angle lens.
It will be backed up by a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 feature and we will have 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C connectivity options. It measures 153.9 x 75.4 x 7 mm and weights 165g. A fingerprint scanner will be available on the rear side.
