Sony launched the Sony Xperia XZ smartphone this month with top-end flagship specifications. The company has now launched the Sony Xperia XZ in Indian market where it will be available for Rs. 51,990 (around $778) and will be available for sale starting October 10. Pre-orders will start exclusively on Amazon India from 1st to 10th October 2016. It will also be available on all Sony outlets and select retail outlets across India.
The Sony Xperia XZ comes with a 5.2-inch Triluminos Display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by the 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 820 14nm processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB / 64GB internal storage with expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD card. It comes with Dual SIM support and runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box.
It comes with a 23-megapixel rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, 5-axis stabilization, 4K video recording, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive Hybrid AF and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with 1/3” Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens and 1080p video recording. It is backed up by a 2900 mAh Battery with Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology.
It measures 146 x 72 x 8.1 mm and weights 161 grams and comes with connectivity options like 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C. A fingerprint sensor is available on the power button and is IP65/IP68 certified which means it is water resistant.
