Xiaomi has now launched a new smartphone in the Indian market called Xiaomi Mi Max Prime that is the successor to the Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone launched in June this year in India. The Xiaomi Mi Max Prime is priced at INR 19,999 and is listed at the official Mi store. It will go on sale on October 17 via Mi.com that means it will be available during the Diwali sale from 17th – 19th October. We will discuss about the Diwali sale later in this article. The Xiaomi Mi Max Prime comes with similar specs like the Xiaomi Mi Max but with a difference of RAM, processor and internal storage capacity. It comes with a 6.44-inch full-HD 342ppi display with 1080×1920 pixels resolution and is powered by the Snapdragon 652 processor instead of the Snapdragon 850. The RAM is now 4GB in Mi Max Prime and 128GB of inbuilt storage and a microSD slot for expandable storage up to 128GB. It runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 OS out of the box.
It supports Dual-SIM and features a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture and a LED flash with a 5-megapixel front camera having 85-degree wide-angle view. It is backed up by a large 4850mAh battery that can offer up to 14 hours of video playback. Connectivity options includes 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS with Glonass and Wi-Fi 802.11ac with Mimo. It measures 173.1×88.3×7.5mm and weighs 203 grams.
