The Blackberry’s 3rd Android powered smartphone with flagship specifications Blackberry DTEK60 is now available for pre-orders in the US as well. The device was first available for pre-orders in Canada when a listing at NCIX was spotted having a price tag of CAD $699.99. This is to note that the DTEK60 is yet to be officially announced by the Canadian company.
The device was listed at B&H with full specs and more clear images but now looks like the device listing page has been taken down by the e-retailer and may be up again with its launch which may not be far away. The B&H listed the device with a priced tag of $499.99 for an unlocked unit and the customers pre-ordering it were also eligible for a free rapid travel charger and a black soft shell case worth $49.98.
The Blackberry DTEK60 was listed with features such as a 5.5-inch AMOLED quad-HD Anti-Scratch display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and 534 ppi pixel density. It is powered by the 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM with 32GB internal storage and expandable storage up to 2TB with microSD card. It runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box.
The DTEK60 features a 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, 4K Video recording and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, f/2.2 aperture, 1.125um pixel size and 84-degree wide-angle lens.
It will be backed up by a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 feature and we will have 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C connectivity options. It measures 153.9 x 75.4 x 7 mm and weights 165g. A fingerprint scanner is also available on the rear side.
