Internet leakster Mr. Evan Blass has now shared some real life renders of the upcoming Huawei flagship Huawei Mate 9 that resembles to the currently dead Galaxy Note 7 design. We already know that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 production has been halted already by the Korean giant, so it will be a nice time for Huawei to launch its flagship Mate 9 worldwide to gain huge profit. The new images shared by Evan Blass shows that the Mate 9 will have two variants and one will have a curved display just like the Galaxy S7 Edge.
According to the leakster, the curved screen variant of the Mate 9 is code named ‘Long Island’ and you can see the images of the handset in the bottom row of the image above. The flat screen display variant is code named ‘Manhattan’ and you can see the renders of it in the top row of the above image. The curved display variant will have high-end specifications than the flat screen variant that includes a qHD resolution display. The flat screen variant will have a Full-HD display rather than a qHD one.
The curved screen variant looks similar to the Galaxy Note 7 if we check the bottom row images of the Huawei Mate 9 in the above leaked images. The physical home button having the fingerprint scanner is moved to the front panel that looks similar to the Note 7 one. According to the leakster, the curved screen variant will not be available outside China, while the flat screen variant will be available worldwide.
According to the leaks, the Huawei Mate 9 will feature a 5.9-inch qHD/fHD display and will be powered by the upcoming 64-bit octa-core Kirin 960 chipset. It will have 6GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage capacity. It will have a similar Leica-branded dual camera on rear side just like the Huawei P9 and there will be two 20-megapixel lenses with f/2.0 aperture. There will be a large battery in this device delivering good battery backup.
