Vivo has launched a new mid-range smartphone in the Chinese and Philippines market today called Vivo Y55 that comes with excellent specs at a budgeted price. The device is fully listed on official Vivo China website with full specifications and images, however, we don’t have the pricing details and availability of this device for Chinese market. It will be available for Php 7,990 (around $165) in Philippines starting October 28.
The device has already been launched in Indian market with name Vivo Y55L a couple of weeks back. The Vivo Y55 comes with all-metal unibody design with a 5.2-inch TFT IPS HD display with 1280×720 pixel resolution and 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by an octa-core 1.4GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 ( 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) processor with Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
It comes with 16GB inbuilt storage capacity and expandable storage up to 128GB via MicroSD card slot. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS based Funtouch OS 2.6 out of the box and also supports Dual-SIM. It features an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto focus, LED Flash, HDR, and f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front facing camera with f/2.2 aperture.Color options includes Gold and Rose Gold.
It is backed up by a 2730mAh battery, while the Indian Vivo Y55L comes with a 2,650mAh non-removable battery. Connectivity options available are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, OTG, USB 2.0 and also supports FM radio. It measures 147.9 mm x 72.9 mm x 7.5 mm and weights 142 grams.
In Indian market, the Vivo Y55L is priced at Rs. 11,980 (around $180) and comes with similar features like the Vivo Y55 with a comparatively smaller battery than the Y55. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
