According to a new teaser posted by Xiaomi on their weibo account, it has been assumed that the company will launch its upcoming smartphone in the Mi Note series called Xiaomi Mi Note 2 that will be the successor to the Xiaomi Mi Note smartphone. The event will take place on October 25th at Peking University Gymnasium in China. The official teaser posted by the company also confirms that the Hong Kong-based actor Tony Leung will be hosting the event.
According to the rumors online, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be launched with a curved display but with no dual-edge display as leaked in previous rumors. In a leaked image of the device on weibo, it has been said that the device will not be having any front camera or sensors on the top and will feature an all top display. Another rumor says that the Mi Note 2 will feature a dual-camera setup on the rear side.
As per the different rumors, the Mi Note 2 will have a 5.5-inch full-HD curved display with force touch feature and will be powered by the same Snapdragon 821 chipset used in the current flagships Xiaomi Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus. It will have 4GB and 6GB RAM variants with 64GB and 128GB inbuilt storage options. A home button will be available on the front with a fingerprint sensor and will be powered by a 3600/4000mAh battery.
It will feature a 12-megapixel dual rear camera with LED flash and will also have two speaker grilles at the bottom. IF we talk about the prices, the Mi Note 2 will be priced at CNY 2,499 (around $371) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage variant and CNY 2,799 (around $415) for the 128GB inbuilt storage and 6GB RAM.
