After teasing its upcoming device Honor 6X on the weibo account, Huawei today announced its latest smartphone in China with mid-range specifications. The Huawei Honor 6X is the successor to the Honor 5X that comes in Gold, Silver, Grey, Blue and Rose Gold color options and pre-orders for the device have started in China from today and the sales will commence from October 25th.
It is priced at 999 yuan (around $148) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage variant, 1299 yuan (around $192) for the 4GB RAM + 32GB inbuilt storage variant and 1599 yuan (around $237) for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage option. There are no details available about its global availability and pricing details. We may expect that company will soon announce it globally.
The Huawei Honor 6X comes with a metal unibody design and features a 5.5-inch full-HD 2.5D curved glass IPS display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and is powered by a octa-core Kirin 655 ( 4 x 2.1GHz + 4 x 1.7GHz) 16nm processor with Mali T830-MP2 GPU. It comes with 3GB / 4GB LPDDR3 RAM + 32GB (eMMC 5.1) inbuilt storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB (eMMC 5.1) inbuilt storage with microSD card expandable memory up to 128GB.
It comes with hybrid Dual SIM support and runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS with EMUI 4.1 on top. It comes with dual-camera setup on rear side featuring a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, 6P lens, 1.25um pixel size, PDAF and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. It also comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It is backed up by a 3340mAh battery with fast charging support and comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS connectivity options.
It measures 150.9×72.6×8.2mm and weights 162 grams. A fingerprint scanner is available on the rear side of the phone below the rear camera module that can unlock the phone in 0.3 seconds.
