LG V34 announced for Japan as IP67 certified variant of LG V20

LG today announced a new device for Japanese market called LG V34 that will be the variant of the LG V20 launched outside Japan. The main difference between the LG V34 and LG V20 is that the LG V34 is waterproof smartphone with IP67 certification but the V20 doesn’t have iP67 certification and is not splash resistant also. Other specifications of the LG V34 are same as the LG V20. It will be exclusive available for the Japanese carrier Au and is listed on official LG Japan website with full specs and images of the device.

The LG V34 comes with a 5.2-inches IPS WQHD display with with 2560×1440 pixels resolution and a secondary 2.1-inch display and comes powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU and has 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB (UFS 2.0) internal storage capacity that is expandable up to 2TB with the help of a microSD card. It runs on the Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS out of the box.

It comes with same dual rear camera setup with 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel lenses having OIS 2.0, F1.8 aperture, dual-tone LED Flash, Laser AF, PDAF, CAF, 75-degree lens and 4K video recording features and 8-megapixel secondary camera having f/2.4 aperture and 135-degree lens. The dual-tone LED flash on rear camera has been aligned centered with one camera lens on left and the other on right on V34. There is also a front facing 5-megapixel camera available with features such as f/1.9 aperture and 120-degree wide-angle lens.

It comes with a 3000mAh battery than a 3200mAh battery found on V20 with quick charge 3.0 feature. Color options includes Titanium and Gold. Connectivity options includes 4G LTE with VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port. It also comes with ESS SABRE ES9218 Quad DAC, B&O audio and High AOP Mic features. It measures 149 × 72 x 8mm and weights 146 grams. A fingerprint scanner is available on the rear side of the phone.
