OPPO R9s and R9s Plus launched with 4GB/6GB RAM and bigger batteries

On 19th, Motorola launched two new devices OPPO R9s and R9s Plus in China in an official event. The OPPO R9s is priced at priced at 2799 yuan (around $415) and R9s Plus is priced at 3499 yuan (around $519). Color options includes Gold, Rose Gold and Black colors. The OPPO R9s is now up for pre-order in China and will be available for sale starting October 28th. The OPPO R9s Plus will go on sale starting December.

The Oppo R9s comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD 2.5D curved glass display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU and has 4GB  RAM with 64GB internal storage that is further expandable up to 128GB with microSD card. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM and runs on the Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) with ColorOS 3.0.

It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.8″ sensor, 6P lens, EIS, LED Flash, 4K video recording and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens. It is backed up by a 3010mAh battery with VOOC flash charge and connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. It measures 153×74.3×6.58mm and weights 145 grams. A fingerprint scanner is available on the home button of the phone.

The bigger Oppo R9s Plus comes with a 6-inch full-HD 2.5D curved glass display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. It is powered by a octa-core Snapdragon 653 processor (Quad 1.95GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.44GHz A53 CPUs) with Adreno 510 GPU with 6GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB with microSD card. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM and runs on the Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) with ColorOS 3.0.

It measures 163.63×80.8×7.35mm and weights 185grams. A fingerprint scanner is available on the home button.
