Android 7.0 Nougat update rolling out to Moto G4 and G4 Plus in India

Motorola has recently started soak test for the Android 7.0 Nougat OS on the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus smartphones in Brazil and now the company has started rolling the Nougat Android update to the Moto G4 and G4 Plus smartphones in India. The release notes for the update are available on the official Motorola website and the update may take a couple of days to reach your phone if you are in India.

The latest Android 7.0 Nougat update comes with new features including new multitasking features, more efficient notification controls and improved data saver and battery features. The update brings features such as Quick switch multitasking, Multi-window view, Work mode, Data saver mode, Doze on the Go, JIT compiler, Stability improvements, Notification direct reply, Bundled notifications, Notification controls, Custom quick settings.

Other features includes Quick settings bar, Improved settings navigation, Settings suggestions, Lock screen wallpaper, Improved system backup coverage, New and updated emoji, Emergency information, Accessibility settings in initial setup, Accessibility mono output, Variable text to speech, Size of display elements, Trusted face improvements, Call screening, Multi locale language support and preferences, Locales by language and New Moto action.

Moto G4 was launched in India along with G4 Plus in May this year with features such as a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection, Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 (4 x 1.5GHz + 4 x 1.2GHz) processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, expandable storage up to 128GB with microSD card, Dual SIM, Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) OS, a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash,  a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3000mAh battery, 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio support.

The Moto G4 Plus was launched with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection, octa-core Snapdragon 617 (4 x 1.5GHz + 4 x 1.2GHz) processor with Adreno 405 GPU, two variants: 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage, expandable storage up to 128GB with microSD card, Dual SIM, Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) OS, a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a 3000mAh battery, 4G LTE with VoLTE and a fingerprint scanner on the square home button.
