After so many leaks and rumors, Blackberry has launched its new Android powered flagship device Blackberry DTEK60 which is the 3rd Android powered phone from the company and this one comes with high-end specifications like Blackberry Priv but lacks a physical keyboard. The Blackberry DTEK60 is priced at $650 in Canada and is up for sale on Blackberry online store and the listing shows the status as ‘in stock’. The DTEK60 is also manufactured by TCL Ltd which was also behind the DTEK50 smartphone.
The Blackberry DTEK60 comes with a 5.5-inch diagonal Quad-HD AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, 24-bit color depth, 534 PPI and 16:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996 with 64 bit Quad-Core 2+2 Kryo 2.15GHz / 1.6GHz) processor with a 624MHz Adreno 530 GPU. it has 4GB of RAM and 32 GB inbuilt storage capacity with microSD expandable storage card supporting up to 2TB storage. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
Blackberry DTEK60 features a 21-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with Dual Tone LED Flash, 4K HD Video Recording at 30 fps, Phase Detect Auto Focus (PDAF), Fast focus lock, HDR, 6-element f2.0 lens, 4x digital zoom, Continuous & touch to focus, face detection, video image stabilization and Multi-frame Low Light Enhancement features. A front facing 8-megapixel camera is also available with Selfie Flash, fixed-focus, f2.2 aperture, 1.125um pixel size, 84° wide angle/field of view lens, HDR, Live Filters, video image stabilization and Multi-Frame Low Light Enhancement.
A 3000 mAh 4.4V non-removable battery is available with Quick Charge 3.0 enabled delivering up to 24 hours of mixed usage. Connectivity options includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz, 4G Mobile Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2 (LE) and EDR, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, NFC, USB Type-C with standard USB Type C to USB Type A cable and USB OTG and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. It measures 153.9 mm x 75.4 mm x 6.99 mm and weights 165 grams. The device also comes with an on-screen or red LED indicator and also has a fingerprint scanner on the rear side.
