World’s first Tango enabled smartphone Lenovo PHAB 2 Pro is now up for sale in the US priced at $499.99. It was announced back in the Tech World 2016 event in San Francisco in June and its November launch was confirmed last month. The main highlight of this device is that it comes with four camera lenses that includes a 16-megapixel RGB camera, a depth camera, a motion tracking camera and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with Tango’s 3D mapping technology that helps the phone users to enjoy the AR experience.
The Lenovo PHAB 2 Pro has a full metal body body and comes with a 6.4-inch Quad HD 2.5D Curved Glass display with 2560 × 1440 pixels resolution and is powered by a octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor (Quad 1.8GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2GHz A53 CPUs) with Adreno 510 GPU. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage with expandable storage up to 128GB with microSD card.
It runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box and supports Dual SIM. It features a 16-megapixel camera with PDAF, Depth Sensor for Tango and Motion Tracking Sensor for Tango. An 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 1.4μm pixel size is also available. It is backed up by a 4050mAh battery with fast charging feature and also has a fingerprint scanner on the rear side.
Connectivity options includes 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, other features includes DOLBY Atmos sound with 5.1 audio capture and Triple Array Microphones with Active Noise-Cancellation. It measures 88.57 x 179.83 x 6.98-10.7mm and weights 259 grams.
