Huawei today launched two new devices including the Huawei Mate 9 and a premium Porsche designed Mate 9 that comes with more premium features and a dual-edge display. But let’s talk first about the latest flagship Huawei Mate 9 that comes with a price tag of 699 Euros (around $774) and will be in multiple countries including China, Italy, Spain, Japan, Thailand, Kuwait, Malaysia, France, Poland, Germany, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. The availability details of the device are currently unknown.
The Huawei Mate 9 flagship comes with Black, Space Gray, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Mocha Brown and Ceramic White color options and features a 5.9-inch full-HD display with 2.5D glass and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It has an aluminim unibody design and is powered by a octa-core Huawei Kirin 960 processor with Mali G71 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM with 64GB inbuilt storage capacity that is further expandable with microSD card.
It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat based Emotion UI 5.0 out of the box and supports hybrid Dual-SIM. It features a 20-megapixel Monochrome + 12-megapixel RGB Dual rear cameras with Leica lenses, f/2.2 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, Laser AF, OIS and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture. It is backed up by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging feature and connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS and NFC.
The Huawei Mate 9 comes with a fingerprint scanner available on the back. It measures 156.9 x 78.9 x 7.9mm and weights 190 grams. No news available of its global roll-out and pricing yet.
