Today, Xiaomi launched new devices in an official event in China. The company has unveiled a set of new devices today that includes the Redmi 4 smartphone that comes with processor variants. It is priced at 699 yuan (around $103) for the Snapdragon 430 + 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt storage variant and 899 yuan (around $133) for the Snapdragon 625 + 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage option. The sale of the device will start in China from November 11th. No word on the global roll out yet.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes with a 5-inch HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 ( 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor with Adreno 505 GPU / 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU.
It comes with 2GB RAM / 3GB RAM, 16GB / 32GB internal storage and expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD card slot. It runs on the MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box and comes with Hybrid Dual SIM option.
It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, 1080p video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. it is backed up by a 4100mAh battery and comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS connectivity options. It measures 141.3×69.6×8.9mm and weights 156g. A fingerprint sensor is located on the rear side and it also comes with an Infrared sensor. it comes with Silver, Grey and Gold color options.
