AmanGionee launched the new flagship Gionee S9 recently in China with top-end features and flagship specs. The company launched the Gionee M6 and M6 Plus smartphones back in July with massive batteries. The company has launched a lite variant of the Gionee M6 called Gionee M6 Lite in Kenya today that comes with downgraded features as compared to the Gionee M9. The Gionee M9 Lite has already got TENAA approval in August where it was listed with a 5.3-inch display instead of a 5-inch.
The Gionee M6 Lite is priced at KSh 19,999 (around $197) in Kenya and is available on Kenyan e-retailer Kilimall. It comes with Mocha Gold color option. This device has a metallic design with metallic back and it comes with narrow bezel design on sides. This device comes with a 4000mAh battery as its a lite version of the Gionee M6. The Gionee S9 Lite comes with a 5.0-inch full HD AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolutiobn, 401ppi pixel density, 100% NTSC gamut and a 2.5D curved glass protection.
It is powered by a 1.8GHz 64-bit dual quad-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor and comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage capacity with MicroSD card expandable storage with up to 256GB storage. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS based Amigo 3.2 UI out of the box. It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 lens, face detection autofocus (PDAF), LED flash, Panorama, Exmor-RS CMOS sensor, 1080p HD video recording and a front facing camera of 5-megapixel with f/2.0 lens and screen flash.
