Vivo’s another mid-range device in the Vivo Y series has just got the TENAA approval that comes with two models at TENAA namely Vivo Y66 and Vivo Y66L with both having similar specifications and the design of both the devices are also same. Both looks like to be the successors to the Vivo Y55 smartphone that has a similar design while the Vivo Y66 comes with better specifications. The Vivo Y66 comes with a a full metal body design and we can expect it to launch soon in China. Let’s check the specifications of the device.
At TENAA, The Vivo Y66 and Vivo Y66L comes with a 5.5-inch HD TFT display with 720x1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by an octa-core 1.4 GHz processor that is expected to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (MSM8937) processor with Adreno 505 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage instead of 16GB storage and 2GB RAM found in Vivo Y55. It comes with 128GB expandable MicroSD card storage capacity. It runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
The Camera of the Vivo Y66 also comes with an upgrade having a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. It comes with a 2930mAh battery which is also an upgrade over the Vivo Y55’s 2730mAh battery. Connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, OTG, USB 2.0 and also supports FM radio. It measures 153.56 × 75.79 × 7.49 (mm) and weights 157 grams. Color options includes Rose Gold.
To recall, the Vivo Y55 was announced with a 5.2-inch TFT IPS HD display, octa-core 1.4GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 ( 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) processor , Adreno 505 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, up to 128GB MicroSD card expandable storage, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS based Funtouch OS 2.6, Dual-SIM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, a 2730mAh battery and 4G VoLTE connectivity.
