The high-end smartphone from LeTV, LeTV Le Max Pro, will cost RMB 3,500 in China which is around $535 according to current exchange rates. LeTV Le Max Pro is the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the Snapdragon 820 SoC in the year 2016.
Previously, there were rumors that Samsung’s Galaxy S7 series of smartphones will use the Snapdragon 820 chipset first. But that prediction went wrong, when the chipmaker company Qualcomm announced the LeTV Le Max Pro smartphone with SD820 in the CES 2016 event in Las Vegas.
LeTV Le Max Pro comes with a large 6.33-inch Quad HD 2560×1440 pixels display. It is powered by a 64-bit Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 processor paired with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of DDR4 RAM. It has 64GB of internal storage and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based EUI.
It will have a 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX230 Sensor, OIS, f/2.0 aperture and dual ISP. A 4-megapixel front-facing camera is available on front. It supports Dual SIM connectivity with connectivity options like 4G LTE with VoLTE, Tri-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, APT-X, GPS, NFC, MHL 3.0, USB Type C, 3.5mm audio jack, Wireless HDMI etc.
It comes with a 3400mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology which gives 0 to 60 percent charge in just half an hour. It also has a fingerprint reader placed on the rear side of the phone that also supports Qualcomm’s Sense ID. It measures 167.1×83.5×8.95mm and weights 204g. The Chinese company hasn’t revealed the availability details of the smartphone yet.
The LeTV Le Max Pro comes with SD 820 that also has a Qualcomm Spectra 14-bit dual ISPs (image signal processors) and the Qualcomm Hexagon 680 DSP that will enhance the images captured by the device.
