Kodal, the popular brand in camera products, launched their first Android powered smartphone Kodak Ektra back in October that comes with an impressive camera of course, and other top end specifications. This new smartphone will be available for sale starting this December 9 in Germany according to Androidauthority. It will be available in Europe in mid-December via Media Markt, Saturn, Amazon, Ringfoto and kodakphones.com. It is priced at £449 in Europe and €499 in Germany.
The Kodak Ektra was announced with a 5-inch full-HD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a 2.3GHz deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 (2x Cortex-A72 @ 2.3GHz+ 4x Cortex-A53 @ 2.0GHz + 4x Cortex-A53 @ 1.4GHz) processor with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. It has 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage with expandable storage up to 128GB with microSD card. It runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OS out of the box.
It features a 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, 6-axis OIS, Sony IMX230 sensor, 26.5mm lens and a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging and comes with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/Glonass, 3.5mm audio jack and USB 3.0 Type-C connectivity options. It measures 47.8 x 73.35 x 9.69mm and 14.02mm thick at camera lens. It also comes with a speaker, receiver and a Dual MIC.
