LG has announced a new tablet today in the G Pad series with the name LG G Pad III 10.1 FHD LTE in the home country South Korea. This tablet is the successor to the G Pad II 10.1 tablet launched last year. The LG G Pad III 10.1 LTE comes along with some upgradations over its successor and it now features a built-in kick stand that can be adjusted up to 70-degrees in 4 modes.
The tablet has a Time Square UX feature that can be used as a desk clock, tabletop calendar or even a digital frame and the company says that the Kick Stand supports folding and can adjust up to 70 degrees which means it doesn’t need an accessory. LG G Pad III 10.1 FHD LTE is priced at 429,000 South Korean Won (around $360) and it will be available in the home country of Korea starting today onwards.
The Korean company also confirmed a stylus pen variant of the G Pad III 10.1 tablet for next year that will be launched in early next year. It comes with a 10.1-inch WUXGA Full HD display with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity that is further expandable up to 2TB with microSD card slot. It also comes with the Microsoft suite of apps including Office, Word, and Excel for Android pre-installed.
It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. It features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera as well. This tablet comes with a huge non-removable 6000mAh battery and it features the connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac , Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C port as well. It measures 256.2 × 167.9 × 6.7~7.9 mm and weights 510 grams.
