As we already know that Samsung is going to launch the Galaxy A 2017 series smartphones on January 5th in Malaysia during the CES 2017 event. The company is expected to launch three Galaxy A 2017 series smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017), Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) and Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017). Now, Samsung Russia has officially confirmed the smartphones via online manuals and firmware details. The leaked documents has also confirmed the Russian pricing for these three devices.
First spotted by Sammobile, the online manual confirms the three A 2017 series device with model numbers SM-A320F/DS, SM-A520F/DS and SM-A720F/DS. The SM-A320F/DS will be the Galaxy A3 2017, the SM-A520F/DS will be the Galaxy A5 2017 and the SM-A720F/DS will be the Galaxy A7 2017 along with the Dual-SIM variants. All the Galaxy A3 2017, Galaxy A5 2017 and Galaxy A7 2017 will feature IP68-certification for dust and water resistance. All the three phones will have NFC, support for Samsung Pay, and fingerprint scanners available on their home buttons.
According to a leaked image via Samsung website, the pricing for the Galaxy A7 2017 (SM-A720) will be 1899 RMB (around $425) and the Galaxy A5 (2017) (SM-A520F) will be priced at 1699 RMB (around $380). The Galaxy A3 2017 having the model number SM-A320 is expected to be priced around $300. At the time of the launch these new Galaxy A 2017 series phones will run on the Android 6 Marshmallow OS instead of Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Samsung Malaysia will also offer a free Level U Pro wireless headphone for the buyers pre-ordering the devices between January 6th and January 15th that costs around 399 RMB (around $89).
The rumored specifications for the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) includes a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display and it will be powered by an Exynos 7880 processor that comes with Mali-T830 GPU and also comes with 3GB of RAM. It is expected to have 32GB or 64GB inbuilt storage options and expandable storage via a microSD card slot. It will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. It will feature a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and auto-focus, face detection and touch focus features. A 16-megapixel camera is expected on the front panel of the device. It will be powered by a 3500mAh battery and is expected to launch with 4G LTE, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity options. A fingerprint scanner is also expected on the physical home button on front.
The Galaxy A5 (2017) is expected to come with a 5.2-inch display and will be powered by a 1.87GHz octa-core Exynos 7880 processor (four Cortex A72 cores + four Cortex A53 cores) with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage and an expandable MicroSD card storage slot as well. It is expected to feature a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. A 3300mAh battery is expected to be powring the device with fast charging support and will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The smaller Galaxy A3 (2017) is expected to feature a 4.7-inch HD display and will be powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor with ARM Mali-T830 GPU. It will have 2GB of RAM and 8GB inbuilt storage with expandable storage upto 32GB via microSD card. It might feature a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 7-megapixel front facing camera. A 3,000mAh battery will power the device and connectivity options expected are 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc. It will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
