David SmithASUS has already announced its “Zennovation” event for the CES 2017 and is expected to announce new smartphones in the event including a dual-rear camera smartphone with Iris scanner as well as we saw in the teasers of the company in the past. A new smartphone from ASUS has just passes the TENAA certification process confirming the specifications of the device and also comes with the images of the device. The device is listed with the name ASUS_X00GD and is expected to launch in the evnt along with the Zenfone 3 Zoom smartphone that was spotted at TENAA earlier this month.
The TENAA listing for the ASUS_X00GD shows that this device comes with a 5.2-inch TFT HD display with 1280 × 720 pixel resolution and will be powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor that is currently unknown at the moment. It comes with 2GB, 4GB and 3GB RAM options along with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB inbuilt storage options. It also comes with MicroSD card expandable storage slot with up to 32GB storage. It runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box and will support Dual-SIM option as well.
It features a 13-megapoixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front facing camera as well. It comes powered by a large 4850mAh battery and comes with 4G LTE with VoLTE,, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and other connectivity options as well. It measures 149.5 × 73.7 × 8.85 mm and weights 169.5 grams. It comes with Luxury gold, rose gold and black color options. The physical home button on the front panel is expected to have a fingerprint scanner for enhanced security.
The COmpany is also expected to launch the Zenfone 3 Zoom smartphone that got the TENAA approval earlier this month with a 5.5-inch AMOLED full HD display with 1920×1080 pixel resolution and is powered by a octa-core 2.0 GHz processor and we can expect to to be the newly launched SD835 processor. The device comes with multiple variants having 2GB, 3GB and 4GB RAM and 16GB, 32GB, 64GB inbuilt storage options with the support of up to 32GB expandable storage via MicroSD card slot. It runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box. A fingerprint scanner is available on the rear side.
It features a dual-rear camera setup if we check the images available in the TENAA listing but the listing shows only two cameras in total with a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 13-megapixel front facing camera. The device might be having a 16-megapixel dual lenses on the rear side or a 16MP+13MP combo. It is powered by a large 4850mAh battery and connectivity options includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi and other standard options. It measures 154.3 × 77 × 7.99 mm and weights 170 grams. Color options includes Navy Black, New Crafts Silver and Luxury Gold.
