AmanVivo has started sending the press invites for the launch of its new smartphone Vivo V5 Plus that comes with a dual front facing camera. The company has already launched the smaller variant of the device known as Vivo V5 that comes with impressive specifications but a single selfie camera and a powerful 20-megapixel front-facing camera with Moonlight Flash. The Vivo V5 Plus will have other high-end specifications but is expected to be powered by a Mediatek processor. There are no details of all specifications available at the moment, so we have to wait for the official launch of the device or TENAA listing for more details.
The Vivo teaser clearly indicates that oi will have a dual-front facing camera and we might have a dual rear camera as well. The teaser further comes with the text “Block the date for the biggest selfie camera revolution” and the launch event date 23rd January 2017. Clearly the company is not going to unveil the device at MWC 2017 but will announce it way afterwards. The teaser however, doesn’t have any other specifications about the device.
The Vivo launched the Vivo V5 last month that comes with a price tag of Rs. 17,980 (around $265) and was launched exclusively for India market. It features a 5.5-inch HD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by the octa-core MediaTek MT6750 (4 x 1.5GHz A53 + 4 x 1.0GHz A53) processor with Mali T860 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity that is expandable up to 128GB with MicroSD card. It runs on the Funtouch OS 2.6 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and supports Hybrid dual-SIM.
It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF and a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with Moonlight Flash, Sony IMX376 1/2.78″ sensor, f/2.0 aperture and 5p lens. It comes with a 3000mAh battery and connectivity options includes 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS, USB OTG and 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.55mm and weights 154g.
