Samsung is expected to announce its new Galaxy S series flagships Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge in April this year with upgraded features. A new first leaked image of the Samsung Galaxy S8 Edge smartphone has just surfaced online. A weibo user has shared an image of the Samsung Galaxy S8 flagship on his account that shows the Galaxy S8 Edge from front but we couldn’t confirm if this is the real Galaxy S8 Edge smartphone.
The device comes with a similar a bezel-less design like the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge along with a dual-edges on sides but there is some difference if we check the leaked image. The leaked image shows the device doesn’t have the physical home button available on the front, instead the company has placed the logo of Samsung there which was available on the top in the past models. The display seems to be a 6-incher instead of a 5.5 one that we saw with the Galaxy S7 Edge. The touch navigation button are not visible on the phone and might be hidden while not in use.
As for the rumored specifications, the Galaxy S8 is expected to launch with a 4K resolution display of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Some rumors says that there won’t be any flat screen variant available and the company will launch two variants, one with 5.5-inch display and the other with 6-inch display. The Galaxy S8 is rumored to be powered by a Exynos 8895 processor with ARM’s new Mali-G71 GPU or the Snapdragon 835 processor that will be region based. The Galaxy S8 might get 6GB of RAM and maximum internal storage available could be 256GB.
The device will run on the Android 7.x Nougat OS out of the box and might support Hybrid dual-SIM (region based) or single SIM options. According to a weibo user, the Galaxy S8 could feature a dual 12-megapixel + 13-megapixel rear camera. The Galaxy S8 is expected to bring stereo speakers with Harman branding. The Galaxy S8 could feature a USB Type-C reversible charging port that offers fast charging and quicker data transfers, according to sammobile.
Stay tuned for more leaks and updates.
