Gionee Steel 2 launched with 3Gb RAM, Mediatek MT6737 processor and a 4000mAh battery

Gionee has announced one more new smartphone in the Chinese market known as Gionee Steel 2. it comes with Jazz Gold and Gold Black color option and is priced at 1299 yuan (around 4188) and is up for pre-orders in China via Gionee online shop. It comes with a fingerprint scanner on the physical home button on front panel. It has a large battery and comes with other mid-range specs like a Mediatek processor with good amount of RAM and Marshmallow Android. No details available about its global debut as of now. The Gionee Steel 2 comes with a 5-inch HD IPS Display with 1280×720 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.25 GHz quad core MT6737 processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB internal storage capacity that is expandable up to 128GB with the help of a MicroSD card slot. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS based Amigo 3.5 out of the box. it supports dual SIMs and has a fingerprint scanner on the physical home button.

It features a 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash, HDR, panoramic, night, business card scanning, scanning, translation, text correction, Xpress and intelligent scan features. It also comes with a 5-megapixel front facing camera. It is backed up by a 4000mAh polymer lithium-ion battery and connectivity options includes 4G LTEwith VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack is also present. It measures 144.3×70.5×8.6 mm and weights 140 grams.

The company launched their last smartphone with name Gionee M2017 last month that comes with a 5.7-inch AMOLED QHD display, a octa-core Snapdragon 653 processor (Quad 1.95GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.44GHz A53 CPUs) that also comes with Adreno 510 GPU, 6GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 128GB/256GB inbuilt storage capacity, Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Amigo 3.5 UI, Dual nano SIM, a metal body and a leather back panel, a dual rear camera with 12-megapixel and a 13-megapixel camera sensors and an LED flash, 8-megapixel front facing camera, a 7000mAh Polymer lithium-ion battery with with two 3500mAH batteries and Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging and 4G+, 4G LTE with VoLTE connectivity options.
