Nokia launched their first flagship Android powered Nokia 6 smartphone at CES 2017 event earlier this month with mid-range specifications. No one noticed, but the chip maker company Qualcomm showcased the upcoming flagship Nokia 8 at the CES 2017 and Nokia is expected to launch it at the MWC 2017 in February and has already confirmed their presence at the MWC on January 26th in the past. The Nokia 8 comes with flagship specifications and will have two variant with once having Snapdragon 821 and the other top-end premium phone will have Snapdragon 835 processor that will be a milestone comeback by the company at the time of its launch.
A user at CES 2017 captured a video of the two Nokia 8 Snapdragon 821 and 835 variants showing the camera comparison of both the phones. According to the reports, the Nokia 8 top-end variant will have a 5.7 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It will have 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB internal storage options with up to 256GB MicroSD card storage slot. It will no doubt run on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box similarly as the Nokia 6.
It will feature a 24-megapixel rear camera with OIS and Super EIS enabled and a 12-megapixel front facing camera. The device comes with dual front facing speakers and an led notifications light as we can see in the above video. The battery details of the device are currently unknown, but as the Nokia 6 featured a 3000mAh battery, we can expect an even bigger battery in the Nokia 8 smartphone. The device will obviously support 4G LTE with VoLTE and other connectivity options.
According to the leaks, the Nokia 8 Snapdragon 821 variant will feature a smaller display than the SD835 variant and will be powered by the Snapdragon 821 SoC. It will have 4GB of RAM but the other specifications of the device are currently unknown at the moment. Reportedly, Nokia has got more than 250000 registration for the Nokia 6 smartphone via JD.com in less than 24 hours. So it will be nice to see what the company will launch at its MWC event scheduled for 26th February.
