Amazon has now started taking pre orders for the new Oppo R5 smartphone which is available for £296.99 and will start shipping from 20th February onwards. Oppo R5 is the world record holder for the world’s thinnest smartphone at 4.85mm.
It features a 5.2 inches Full HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. It has a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core (MSM8939) processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage, No expandable storage.
There is a 13-megapixel Sony Exmor IMX214 BSI sensor rear camera available with a 5-megapixel front-facing 83 degree wide angle lens camera for taking selfies.
Oppo R5 has nice feature of battery. It has a 2000mAh battery that comes with VOOC Rapid Charging technology that helps charging the battery up to 75% in 30 minutes only.
Oppo R5 runs on Android KitKat 4.4.4 OS out of the box with ColorOS 2.0. Connectivity options includes 4G FDD-LTE, 3G etc. It weights only 155 gms.
