Yesterday, Nokia officially announced the new Lumia Windows Phone 8.1 Update for all Lumia devices worldwide and called it as “Lumia Cyan update” software update. This new update brings new exciting features that will make your Lumia an even more personal, fun and indispensable part of your life according to Nokia.
This new update is started rolling from 15th July onwards for all Lumia users. This new update brings new features including a third column of customized Live Tiles, a background image on your Start screen, Improved People Hub feature, Action Center, Wi-Fi Sense, Word Flow, new Device Search, An updated Internet Explorer 11, updated native Calendar and counting.
Nokia Lumia Windows 8 users in US will receive Cortana virtual assistant on their devices and it will be available soon for other regions as well in the near future.
This new Lumia Cyan update will bring new improvements to The Nokia Camera, Creative Studio and Storyteller apps. Creative Studio 6 (CS6) is now available directly from the renewed Camera Roll. Nokia is also offering a free upgrade to global HERE Drive+ for all Lumia 520, Lumia 525, Lumia 620 or Lumia 720 users.
This new Lumia Cyan update comes with enterprise features like S/MIME, where you can send digitally signed and encrypted emails to people outside your company and you can set your Lumia to automatically access your company’s virtual private network.
The new SensorCore SDK Beta will help apps and gadgets use location data, real-time updates and other advanced features.
